19.Grenadier-Division

History

The 19.Grenadier-Division was formed in August of 1944 in Esbjerg, Denmark, from Schatten-Division Jütland and from parts of the 19.Luftwaffen-Sturm-Division. The Division Left Esbjerg for Heeresgruppe G in early September, 1944. Shortly after the 19.Grenadier-Division was renamed as the 19.Volksgrenadier-Division.
