Destroyed at Vitebsk in July of 1944History The 206.Infanterie-Division was formed in August of 1939 from Landwehr-Kommandeur Insterburg . This formation was a cadre unit of the Landwehr and upon mobilzation in August of 1939 was brought up to strenght and renamed as an infantry division of the 3rd mobilization wave.
