It is not entirely known at this time if this unit was ever formed as such. Most allworks on German units make only a mention of Division Nr. 469, but there is some thought thatin the last days of WWII Division Nr. 469 was transformed into the 469.Infanterie-Division. If so, itonly existed as an Infanterie-Division for a very short period of time and only saw service on theEastern Front against the Soviet Union before being destroyed by them.
