177, 190, 243, 244 and 245 were allinvolved in the Stalingrad battles in late 1942, early 1943. All but190 perished in and around the city. 177reached the city on 8.11.42. The 191, 209, 259,276 and 279 were deployedelsewhere in Heeresgruppe Süd.

In June 1944 the distribution of the StuG Brigades was as follows:
191 and II Kp 201 served with the 2nd Pz Armee in Yugoslaviain August 1944.
In August 1944 the V SS Mountain Corps had the 105 StuG Kompanie(beute). This was probably equipped with StuG M42 mit 75/18:Semovente captured from the Italians.
Brigade 244 fought at Arnhem.
In November 1944 the following units were active on the Western Front:
7th Armee: 244 5th Panzer Armee: 278 & 341 6th Panzer Armee: 902(?) 15th Armee: 902(?)
The following brigades were available for the Ardennes offensive in late1944: 243, 244 (5PA), 280, 341 (15A),394 (6PA), 607, 667 (6PA) and 902 (15A). 15Ais the 15 army and 5PA and 6PA are the 5 & 6 Panzer Armeerespectively. The 902 was transferred to 6PA on 16/12/44. There wasalso a Fallschirm StuG Brigade 11 used during the offensive, whichwas attached to 5 Fallschirmjager Division. The 394 and 667later (1.13.45) participated in the Nordwind offensive as part of XXXIXPanzer Korps.
Brigades 111 Lehr, 243 and 249 fought in the battlefor Berlin. The 249 survived until the end of the war. On April23rd 1945 it was at near full strength.
In March 1945, the 244 and 341 were both reported asoperating in Heeresgruppe B.
